Kefirko Kefir Making Kit

The design and the idea of the whole thing is great. However, there is one design flaw. The threads on the bottle and on the lid are very shallow. It gets unscrewed easily. I accidentally droped my kefir grains in the dirty sink because the lid got unscrewed.

Since I received the Kefirko jar a few weeks ago, I have been making a batch of kefir almost every day, and have successfully made delicious kefir cheese several times (super good with sun-dried tomato and fresh basil, btw). I am so happy to be able to make my own fermented products! I do not like drinking milk, but love the taste and fizz of kefir; it is much easier on my stomach, too.

This is an excellent product. It makes kefir making extremely easy and convenient. I was initially hesitant to buy it as I thought I could make kefir using a regular jar and mesh strainer. However, after purchasing the Kefirko, I don’t regret my choice. It’s durable, easy to clean, and saves me time and effort every day.

We’ve had our 848ml Kefirko kits for over a year now. They make it so easy to make milk kefir, which is what we use for our shakes every weekday. Makes a much tastier shake and I’m happy we get your the nutritional benefit of probiotics every morning. I love the ease with which you can drain the ready kefir and keep the grains in. The glass jar and plastic lid are both thick and high quality and not fragile at all. I did break one glass jar, but that was absolutely my fault as I dropped something very heavy on it. I wish I could buy just the glass piece without the extra lids and swizzle stick but I doubt Kefirko offers that… hopefully in the future.

A great purchase and definitely one of our most used kitchen products. Highly recommended if you love kefir!
